FAQ
How many chapters are completed in 7 weeks?
We understand that each student might have a different learning pace. Still we always aim for 2.25 chapters per Beginners course and 2 chapters per Intermediate- and Advanced course, from the respective book/method.
How many courses do I need to complete A2 level or be ready for Inburgering exams?
This all depends on your starting level. If you have no knowledge of Dutch yet, you would need about 56 hours/ 4 regular evening courses to be all set for sitting for the exams. This means 4 evening courses of 7 weeks.
If you have passed the preliminary exam at the Dutch embassy elsewhere, before coming to the Netherlands, 2 evening courses of 7 weeks would be enough to reach A2 level, i.e. our Dutch Pre-Intermediate and Dutch Pre-Intermediate II course.
These are paces for general students. In some cases, a student picks up a language easily and needs less classes; in some a student might need more focus on certain aspects. In this case we can always advise and guide.
How many courses do I need to be ready for an NT2 exam?
There are two levels of NT2 exams: B1/ NT2-I and B2/NT2-II.
Here, your starting level is essential to define your course. In general, you can be all ready for sitting an exam after either completing four Dutch Intermediate evening courses of seven weeks, or four Dutch Advanced evening courses of seven weeks.
How do I know which course I should register for?
We always offer an intake, free of cost, before suggesting any course. During an intake, one of our teachers will talk to you and assess your level through some tests, before offering their recommendation on courses. These recommendations are strictly optional.
